Resumen:
Stable Rh/La2O3  and Ru/La2O3  catalysts together with a highly selective Pd-Ag membrane were used to produce ultrapure H2 at 823 K. Oxygen feeding also helped to increase the energy efficiency of the reacting system. The CH4  conversion and the permeated hydrogen/CH4 fed ratio reached higher values for the combined reforming of methane than for the dry reforming alone. Carbon residues were minimal while lanthanum oxycarbonates were detected on the catalysts surface before and after use.
