Resumen:
A reactor containing either a Ba-ZSM-5/SS or a Pt/H-ZSM-5/SS membrane was used to enhance the xylene isomerization reaction selectivity to p-xylene. The stable composites were synthesized by secondary growth on porous SS supports. Either pure m-xylene or ternary mixtures (industrial composition ) in hydrogen were fed to the reactor (340 – 390°C). With the ternary feed, the best membrane increased 30.5 % the p-xylene production.
