Resumen:
Diesel engines produce nitrogen oxides and soot. One way for decreasing these emissions is the combination of filters and traps. The catalytic filter traps the soot particles and allows their burning at the exhaust gases temperature. This work presents the development of a filter made of stacked wire meshes along with its coating with Co,Ba,K/CeO2, catalyst that showed good activity in the catalytic combustion of soot in previous studies.
