Resumen:
The design of artefacts in many engineering disciplines involves creative and unstructured activities, without having a predefined workflow. To assist engineers, a variety of computer-support environments has been developed. However, most tools often leave aside the documentation of the associated rationale, decisions and applied operations. Thus, this design knowledge remains in the minds of experienced designers, is lost over time, and cannot be reused. To overcome these flaws, this contribution presents TracED, an environment allowing the capture and Tracing of Engineering Design processes.
