Resumen:
Due to its safety-critical condition, continuousperformance monitoring of an artificial pancreas (AP) is ofparamount importance for both patients and health care personnel.Based on error grid analysis (EGA), a monitoring toolis proposed to assess if a given control policy implementationrespects the specification of an optimally controlled glycemicsystem under uncertainty. The optimal behavior specificationis obtained using Linearly Solvable Markov Decision Processes(LSMDP) whereby the Bellman equation is made linearthrough an exponential transformation such that the optimalcontrol policy is obtained in an explicit form. The system specificationis learned using Gaussian processes for state transitionsin a well-performing glucose regulator.
