Resumen:
Previous studies from our group indicate that fructoserich diet (FRD) consumption during gestation induces adecrease in adipose precursor cells (APCs) from retro-peritoneal adipose tissue (RPAT) thus reducing localadipocyte number and mass in the adult male progeny. These changes favor adipocyte hypertrophy and adistorted adipokine secretion pattern. We now evalu-ated the impact of FRD intake by the gestating damson the adipogenic capacity of stromal vascular fraction(SVF) cells from RPAT, of their adult male progeny. Onpregnancy day 1, dams were provided with either tapwater alone (control) or containing fructose (10% w/v indrinking water; FRD) and fed ad libitum with chow upto delivery. Lactating dams and their pups (between 21and 60 of age) received water and chow ad libitum. Cand F animals will come from control and FRD dams, respectively. On experimental day (age 60 days) RPATpads were dissected and SVF cells were isolated. ThemRNA expression levels of adipogenic potential markerswere assessed by qPCR in RPAT SVF cells and pads.PPARγ expression was quantified in differentiating cellsand markers of terminal differentiation were also evalu-ated. Our data indicate that local F SVF cells expresslower and higher levels (p
