Resumen:
Some tumors that belong to the MPA induced murine mammary carcinoma model (MMCM) are sensible to antiprogestins and show regression with mifepristone (MFP) administration (Lanari et al., 2009). During the process of regression there is a concurrence of different cellular types to the tumor stroma (Vanzulli et al., 2002). Our specific aims were: 1 - Generate a murine model with Nod-SCID-gamma (NSG) mice and Bone Marrow (BM) from BALB/c-GFP mice to obtain NSG/BM-GFP mice. 2 - Determine the BM cell?s behavior in the stroma during the MFP induced tumor regression in the NSG/BM-GFP mice. 3 - Using both NSG and NSG/BM-GFP answer the following questions: a) Is the immune system a key component during endocrine tumor regression? b) Does MFP treatment generates a protective memory against a tumor re-challenge?
