Resumen:
A new contribution that arises from our results is that the sharp effects that the Mn+2 produce on the aminoacidergic neurotransmitter can be opposite to the chronic effects (data not shown). In this way, when the Mn+2 accumulates in the synapis it produces a consistent neuropathy with an excitocitotoxic effect, suggesting that the mechanism of glutamate is involved in the development of the pathology described by the Mn+2. The results of the present work suggest that the Mn+2 would operate at the same time on the neurons GABAergic and glutamatergic hypothalamus that form a part of a network neuronal autoregulation.
