Resumen:
Since I was an undergraduate biology student at the National University of La Plata, I knew that the forest was going to be my work office. The exuberant vegetation, the thick dampness over the skin, the constant sounds changing through the day, and the cool shade of the understory all captivated me from the beginning. And because the understory was what fascinated me the most, ferns really awakened my curiosity, almost as part of my nature. Together with a group of colleagues, we are studying ferns in the protected areas of northwestern Argentina, more specifically in the Misiones province. In this article, we will introduce you to some of the most interesting species.
