Resumen:
A new species of sea anemone from the SouthwestAtlantic is described, Botryon lisandroi sp. nov. It is a conspicuous, but scarce species that inhabits the Argentineancoast of Patagonia. It differs from its single congenericB. tuberculatus in tentacle number, coloration, arrangementof mesenteries, cnidae size, and distribution. Males of thegenus Botryon possess botryoidal clusters, which are a gametogenictissue structure that is unique among actiniarians.
