Resumen:
This paper shows the design of a solar oven in combination with electric power. It is an option to use an auxiliary resource to finish cooking of meal on partly cloudy days or cooking its on total cloudy days. The oven was built using the model of drum solar oven, which is economical to build, easy to assemble, and present a good solar performance. This model is appropriate for insert electric heating elements and circuit. On the other hand, this oven is interesting to transfer to isolated communities in the areas outside electric grid or natural gas. This work show the design and the experimental evaluation of drum hybrid solar oven. It presents a power of 200W for a temperature difference between water and air of 50°C in accord to RICSA protocol.
