Resumen:
Two flavonoids were isolated by bioguided fractionation from Eupatorium bunifolium and Ambrosia tenuifolia organic extracts. These were identified as hispidulin and santin respectively and showed trypanocidal activity against epimastoigotes of Trypanosoma cruzi and activity against promastigotes of Leishmania mexicana . Both compounds were devoid of cytotoxic activity on lymphoid cells.
