Resumen:
Submarine and dynamic studies on San Blas channel, within the Anegada Bay, were carried out. Geomorphologic analyses permit to describe the bottom of the channel in detail. Flat bottom, submarine bars and subaqueous dune field were found for the first time. Dynamic studies during a complete tidal cycle across the channel by means of an ADCP were performed in order to obtain the velocity and direction of the tidal currents. As the San Blas channel connects the Anegada Bay with the open sea and based on the geomorphologic and dynamic results, the nomination of tidal inlet is proposed.
