This presentation focuses on how to develop writing prompts informed by Wang and Wen?s (2002) composing process model of writing to enhance the writing ability of second language learners. Leads off with a brief historical overview of approaches in second language writing, including the model proposed by the authors and concluding with a demonstration of this model, with classroom practice of critically evaluating theory, discussed in detail.
