La representación social de la familia en jóvenes argentinos entre 20 y 30 años

Resumen: Se realizó una investigación exploratoria con el objetivo de conocer la representación social de la familia en relación con el núcleo de convivientes y el apoyo social percibido de jóvenes argentinos de entre 20 y 30 años, residentes en Capital Federal y primer cordón del conurbano bonaerense. Se partió de la hipótesis de que la representación social de la familia está asociada a la convivencia y al tipo de apoyo social recibido. Se seleccionó una muestra intencional por cuotas de género y nivel educativo de 203 jóvenes. Se utilizaron como instrumentos: un cuestionario de datos personales en el que se solicitaba la composición de la familia del entrevistado y su núcleo de convivencia y el cuestionario sobre apoyo social de  Mannheim (MISS). Los resultados muestran que la representación social de la familia está condicionada por los lazos de parentesco y la convivencia y fuertemente asociada al tipo de apoyo social brindado por los miembros de la misma, según el rol que desempeñan. Abstract: An exploratory research was carried out in order to know the social representation of the family related to the in living people and the perceived social support of young people in ages between 20 and 30 years old, living in Buenos Aires city and the surroundings. We started with the hypothesis that the social representation of the family is associated to the fact of living together and the type of received social support. An intentional sample was chosen by gender and educational level quotas of 203 young people. The instruments used were a personal data questionnaire in which we asked about the interviewee family composition and his in living people and the inventory on social support of Mannheim (MISS). The results show that the social representation of the family is influenced by the family bonds and the in living experience and greatly associated to the type of social support offered by the family members, according to the role they play.
