Resumen:
This paper proposes a method for the selection of sensor locations from a large set of candidate locations in flexible structures. The method ranks the candidate sensor locationsthrough an evaluation index. The index uses the resonance peaksof frecuency responses of a model as base information and it iscomposed of two components, one of them penalize the candidatelocations with low gain and a the second component, measures the distance to a target subspace (pattern of resonance peaks).Two numerical examples of a simple flexible beam, illustrate their flexibity of application in parameter identificaton problem and reduction observation spillover problem.
