Resumen:
The aim of study was to potentiate the AFB1 adsorbant effect of an animal feed commercial additive (CA), which contains inactive lysate of three Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains, active enzymes, adsorbents and a selenium-amino acid complex, when was mixed separately with three S. cerevisiae strains. Twenty and 50 ng g-1 of AFB1 were used to determine the binding capacity of different concentrations of CA alone and in presence of yeasts strains under gastrointestinal conditions as well as the toxin desorption. Viability of yeasts in presence of CA was evaluated. Results showed that the CA did not affect the viability of the yeasts strains assayed. The CA alone showed low adsorption percentages. At 25 20 ng g-1 and at 50 ng g-1, CA was significantly efficient adsorbing AFB1 when was combined with RC016 strain and RC012 strain respectively. Desorption of AFB1 by the CA alone and in combination with the yeasts raised along the CA increased. Results demonstrated the improvement of the CA in AFB1 adsorption once is mixed with the live yeasts assayed.
