A Study in Scientific Organization. Problematic:  it is inscribed en the psychosociology of scientific organizations. We analyze the incidence of organizational cultures in the homogenization of the valoration and achievements and in the construction of identities (M. Cherkaoui, 1979). Hypothesis: a) scientific organizations – as different according to disciplinary fields – generate habits, representations of the value of work and levels of satisfaction, that would identify “towards the inside” and would differentiate them from other disciplinary groups;  b) the belonging to such organizations – associated with different levels of socio-professional promotion – would mediate the reproduction of “cultures” and of behaviors (mass habits of work, mind structures and action structures; c) the belonging to a disciplinary scientific organization would become concrete in “differential identities” and would result in a homogenization of the psychosocial behavior (similarity in the way of thinking, valuing and acting). We worked on a sample of Research Units (RU) distributed by disciplines, where two semi structured surveys were applied. Also, a scale of global satisfaction with factors concerning the group identity, (productivity, evaluating practices, communication, etc.) was constructed.  It included 7 sub-scales and one scale of professional mobility. Results: a) the psychosocial answers from scientists and level of achievement (seen from the mobility to the interior of the system) are not independent from the disciplinary field; b) some homogenization is confirmed in the psychosocial behavior in scientists that work in the common disciplinary fields. KEY WORDS: IDENTITY – PROFESSIONAL MOBILITY – SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS.
