Resumen:
The Conference of the Parties on ClimateChange in Paris places this pressingenvironmental issue at the forefront ofour attention. Many of us might wonder ifand how microbes are affected by climatechange, and ultimately, if what we knowabout them is of any use in Paris. Therelationship between microbes and climateis a two-way street. In one regard, microbeshave an immense effect on climate as majorcontrollers of greenhouse gases (GHGs),such as carbon dioxide, methane, andnitrous oxide. Conversely, microbes andmicrobial communities largely respond totemperature and, thus, will shift along withincreasing global temperatures.
