Resumen:
Cow s milk allergy (CMA) constitutes the main food allergy observed in the pediatric population in Argentina and in many other countries. Although soy-based formulas are the nutritional substitute mostly employed for treatment of CMA, adverse reactions have been reported in 40% of the treated patients. Our group has previously described the presence of a cross reactivity  between bovine caseins and the seed?s globulin component A5A4B3, and other unknown residual cross reactive components. We also cloned, expressed and characterized a mutant fragment, called alfa-CTD, which would contain the possible immunodominant epitopes responsible of such cross-reactivity. The aim of this work was to obtain four recombinant soy allergens (A5A4B3, alfa subunit of beta-conglycinin as the main component of 7S fraction, Gly m Bd 30K or p34 as the mayor allergic component, and Gly m Bd 28K or p28) to  identify additional cross-reactive allergens using in vitro, in vivo and in silico  methods.
