Resumen:
High fat (HF) diets lead to a deregulation of lipid metabolism. Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) are known to decrease fat mass, but they also produce an exacerbated liver triacylglycerol (TAG) accretion in mice. Purified oil deodorizer distillates (DD) are rich in β-sitosterol and α-tocopherol and could have beneficial effects against lipid accretion and atherogenesis. This preliminary study aimed to investigate the effects of CLA+DD mix on the potential improvement of the lipid metabolism alterations induced by HF diets. Male CF1 mice (22g) were fed for 30 days with SO7 (soybean oil -SO-, 7%), SO30 (SO 30%), CLA30 (SO 29%+CLA 1%), DD30 (SO 29.9%+DD 0.1%) and CLA30DD (SO 28.9%+CLA 1%+DD 0.1%) diets. Body weight gained, relative epididymal (EAT) and retroperitoneal (RPAT) adipose tissues weights; liver TAG levels, some key transcription factors and mRNA levels of lipogenesis and β-oxidation enzymes in the liver were measured. Data were analyzed by One-Way ANOVA followed by Tukey´s test (p
