CONICET Board forms different types of Committees to be provided with its researchers’ advice on different competitions and calls. These committees comprise recognized specialists equivalent or superior to CONICET independent researcher’s class or other superior categories. To perform its tasks, the committees must select Consultant Peers.
The decisions of the Committees have the necessary elements to asses the academic quality of the scientific production and its continuity, theoretical consistency and research plan methodology, as well as the impact and/or transference to the medium, and other elements that support the recommendation and/or the order of merit. The foundations of these decisions are exclusively based on academic reasons.
The members who are part of the Committees are appointed by the Board and are renewed periodically.
