Sciences and Justice


The contribution of Sciences to Justice is a strategic decision of the Board of CONICET and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation aimed at ensuring that their developments can become strategic inputs for, solving cases, the formulation of policies and actions that improve the system of Justice, and can be useful to the different dependences of the Ministries.

One of the objectives of the Program is that the research activity at CONICET in each field can contribute to the better performance of Justice in specific cases. The administration and scientific management provided by CONICET also plays an important role in bringing the results of the research work closer to the aforementioned ministries and providing a legal, humanistic and quality reference framework to the existing demands.

Another objective of the Program is the training of human resources aimed at developing knowledge and building capacities that improves the quality of judicial services to the population when applied in the areas of Justice and Security.

The developments resulting from the interaction with the scientific field may benefit support staff of the Justice, members of the prosecution and defense offices together with the judicial authorities as well as those who represent the forensic and expert areas of other institutions.
