This paper analyzes the track of two academic networks thatconverge in the aim to think about the rural territories andlandscapes of Latin America. The networks are SURCOS andRIPLA, both were born as a derivation of the investigativeprocess and arised from the need to generate spaces fordialogue and fluid debate within the framework universityactivities. The way followed allows us to assert about thefruitfulness of this type of alliances in the contextinternationalization processes in south-south cooperation. Thefirst section describes the networks; the second analysis thesynergies, convergences and divergences found. Theconclusions give an account of the challenges that theuniversity policy of internationalization has not been able tosolve until now, which in turn could push near to risks oftrivialization of the internationalization processes.
