Sixty two species of shrubs and trees belonging to 28 families inhabiting gallery forests of the Paranaense biogeographic province (Argentina) have been cited with medicinal properties. The aim of this study was to provide a tool to recognise the taxa from fragmented leaf samples. We can conclude that the leaf features have diagnostic value to identify species. Therefore, a key to the 62 species and illustrations as well as an ecological interpretation of leaf structures are given.
