In this chapter we reflect on the material imprints of mortuary rituals in early times in Andalhuala (Yocavil Valley, Catamarca) and its relationship to the construction of collective memory. To do this we focus on the funerary contexts of the site Soria 2, which corresponds to the remains of a domestic setting in which su-badult burials were placed. The construction features of the burials, ceramic containers, associated funerary accompaniment and the characteristics of human remains are described. This evidence is discussed in the light of data obtained from the larger context of the Andalhuala-Banda stream terrace. Through a local contextualization, the relationship between funerary practices and memory is discussed.
