Resumen:
The aim of present study was to isolate PGPR spp.
from grown in field of Cordoba region. Bacterial strains
were isolated from bulk soil and rhizosphere and endorhizosphere of
maize plants at different growth stages (flowering plants, in
December, and physiological maturity, in March). Gram stain,
biochemical tests and genetic analyses were performed. Isolates
belonging to genus were screened by their ability to
solubilize phosphate, to produce siderophores, indole acetic acid
(IAA), extracellular enzymes and to inhibit phytopathogens fungi.
Approximately, 240 isolates were obtained from maize root and soil
in King B and Gould´s S1 medium. Gram negative, oxidase and
catalase positive, motile and producer of pigment strains were
confirmed by PCR as belonging to fluorescent group.
The highest percent of PGPR characteristic was observed among
populations from March. On the other hands, of
strains from December, 39% were able to solubilize phosphate,
78%, 22% and 67% produce proteases, cellulases and siderophores
respectively. Some isolates were able to produce IAA and others
could inhibit the growth of . Conclusion:
we obtained several spp. from maize root with PGPR
trait in vitro. In the future, promotion of plant growth by these strains
should be analyzed in greenhouse conditions
