Resumen:
The incorporation of different nanoparticles presenting conductive properties such as polyaniline nanoparticles and polypyrrole nanoparticles in several kinds of polymeric matrices (e.g., electrospun mats, hydrogels, or films) is presented. The optimization of procedures for their obtention and full characterization of relevant physicochemical, thermal, and spectroscopic aspects are described. Also, biological properties of the final materials are presented. Conductive nanofillers allow the tuning of novel properties on the matrices. Among otherkey aspects, the responsivity to Near Infrared Radiation (NIR) and radiofrequency (RF)gives the nanocomposite generated materials potential capability to be applied in thebiomedical field, especially in light-activated therapies (e.g., PTT) and the development ofadvanced functional materials.
