Resumen:
"Lasiurus varius (Poeppig, 1835) is a vespertilionid bat commonly known as Chilean red bat or cinnamon red bat. L. varius""is characterized by its deep reddish coloration without frosted appearance, and by the uropatagium covered with long hairs that extend beyond the trailing edge, which clearly distinguishes it from the other species in the genus. The distribution of this rare species is re- stricted to the southern parts of Argentina and Chile."
