Mammalia, Chiroptera Blumenbach, 1779: New locality records, filling gaps, and geographic distribution maps from Northern Argentina

In this study we add sixty one new localities for the distribution of nineteen species of bats from northern Argentina. Some localities are important extensions for the known distribution of the species, while others just represent additions within their known distributional area. We report new distributional records corresponding to 254 specimens included in fifteen genera and three of the four families of Argentine bats (Phyllostomidae, Vespertilionidae, and Molossidae). Records are new for eight provinces of Argentina and to eight eco-regions (Puna, Monte, Yungas, Dry and Humid Chaco, Pampas, Fields and Weed-lands, and Paranean Forests).
