 The aim of this study was to evaluate the physiological and agronomic characters heritage in a F3 segregating materials selected by growth under suboptimal temperatures. The offspring was the result of a cross between a cold tolerant cultivar (Gral. Rossi) and germplasm with good agronomic characteristics (Crianza 550). As a result, much of the physiological measurements and yield components found significant differences between progeny and parental. In the segregating material similar growth to tolerant parental and similar agronomic characters to Crianza 550 was observed . This suggests that such determinations can be used as a tool for improvement in rice cultivation
