This book chapter discuss the latest advances inwater treatment technologies using zero valent iron in nanoscale dimension(nZVI) aimed at the remediation of real industrial effluents. The process andmechanisms involved in the removal of pollutants by nZVI-based technologies arediscussed in depth. Case studies using real industrial effluents at differentscales (laboratory, pilot and industrial) are described in detail. Finally, thechallenges facing the large-scale application of nZVI are discussed.
