Constituye una revisión crítica del libro de Mariano Plotkin, Freud in the Pampas. The Emergence and Development of a Psychoanalytic Culture in Argentina. En particular se analizan críticamente los criterios historiográficos presenten en la obra de Plotkin y la manera de analizar la historia del psicoanálisis en el ámbito de la cultura.
