Resumen:
Biological collections are interesting not only for the scientific community but for the general public as well, making data organization a necessity to achieve ease of access to the data stored in them [1]. The Genetics Lab at FHUC-UNL studies Conservation Genetics in the La Plata river basin, and has collected tissue from different wildlife species since 2005 to the present and receives over 1000 tissue samples a year. Due to the rapid growth of this particular biological collection, a new generation management system is needed for rapid, safe and efficient data manipulation and analysis, linking molecular biology, genetics and ecology.
