Resumen:
The modelling of solid-fluid equilibria (SFE) in wide ranges of conditions is of great interest for industry and academia. An existing modelling approach is based on equations of state (EOS) which includes the solid state (S-EOS). Currently available S-EOSs have some deficiencies [1]. In particular, Yokozeki´s S-EOS [2] is based on the usual ideal gas integration limit, which is meaningless for the solid (P vs v) branch because its molar volume (v) range is finite (v cannot tend to infinity). In this work we propose a new modelling approach of general applicability which is free from such inconsistency.
