Resumen:
In this work, Linear Low Density Poly(ethylene) (LLDPE)-starch blends modified with maleic anhydride (MAN) as coupling agent were prepared. The MAN is expected to act as a bridge between the polar starch and the non-polar PE, enhancing the mechanical performance of the blends. Blends containing different amount of starch (10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 wt%) and MAN (0, 1, and 3 wt%), 0.05 wt% of DBPH (based on LLDPE content), and 15 wt% of glycerol (based on starch content) were prepared by one-step reactive extrusion using a Göttfert counter-rotating twin screw extruder of 35 mm diameter and length/diameter ratio of 15:1. The creep behavior was modeled according to the simple four elements model (5). The recovery behavior was predicted using the parameters determined from the creep curve
