C!assical approaches to v ance/co_variance estimations are very sensitive to outliers. In the present papera robustapproach, based on.an -es_umator, 1s proposed. Monte Cario simulations show that the strategy provides better resu!ts th n conventJonal mdirect methods under the presence of outliers.
