Resumen:
A detailed mathematical model of the propylene-1-hexene copolymerization based on the probability generating function technique was developed. Using code parallelization, the different property distributions are calculated effectively and fast. The model allowed reaching a thorough understanding of the copolymer microstructure under different operating conditions in a semibatch reactor. In addition, it has the potential of becoming a powerful tool to select operating conditions to obtain a material with target molecular properties.
