Objective: To describegeneralpopulationhealthrelatedqualityoflife
(HRQOL) inArgentinaandperformanAtlasshowingthecountry?s
results usingdatafromthe first ?NationalRiskFactorsSurvey? and
local socialvalues. Methods: Secondarycross-sectionalstudyanaly-
zing EQ-5D-3Lresponses.Thevariablesofinterestwereself-reported
visual analogscaleina0-1scale(SR-VAS),aswellastime-tradeoff
(TTO) andVASpreferencevalues(PV).PVwereassignedusingweights
derived fromapreviouslocalstudy. Results: The surveyincluded
41.392 subjects;theexpandedpopulationrepresented96%oftheadult
population ofArgentina.8.82%ofthepopulationreportedexcellent
health, 24.6%verygood,43.9%goodand22.3%regularorbad.42.8%
reported limitationsinatleastoneoftheEQ-5Ddomain.SR-VAShad
a meanof0.75(IC95%0.75-0.76),whilegeneralpopulationmeansocial
TTO andVASbasedweightswere0.90(0.898-0.905)and0.87(IC95%
0.867?0.874)respectively.TheAtlasshowedsmalldifferencesamong
the provinces. Conclusions: This isapopulationbasedstudyaimed
to describeindepththeHRQOLbasedinEQ-5DusinglocalPV.It
summarizescountrylevelandgeographiclevelswithinthecountry,
and constitutesavaluableresourceandastartingpointforfuture
studies.
