Reactions of electron-rich nitrosyl pincer PNP rhodium complexes

We are interested in the combination of the redox activity on the NO (nitric oxide) ligand with the cooperativity of PNP pincer ligands as proton shuttles. These kinds of metal-ligand cooperation are often exploited in proton-coupled electron transfer processes, such as the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) or the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Herein, we report the reaction of electron-rich nitrosyl PNP pincer complexes with oxygen.
