Resumen:
The presence of the Asiatic clam Corbicula fluminea in Rio Sauce Grande is communicated, this being the first record for the basin of the direct tributaries of the Atlantic Ocean in Buenos Aires province (Argentina). The features of the valves and the sperm type allow the identification of these specimens as belonging to the morphotype A, an androgenetic triploid clone that has achieved a extensive dispersion in the Americas. The introduction mechanism has probably been its use as bait by sports fishermen.
