Resumen:
Several slow evolving characters are evaluated with themain objective of reinforcing the higher classification of Embioptera. Afemoral auditory chordotonal organ is described for the first time in the OrderEmbioptera, with differences in shape and position, well correlated with highertaxonomic groups. Through the use of ultrastructure analysis, new characters onsilk ejector, bladders and various types of leg setae are also discussed withina taxonomic framework. The correlation of these new traits and their differentconditions were tested by using the current phylogeny of the order.
