Resumen:
Five new species of Neocteniza are described : N. spinosa, N. minima, N. toba and N. australis fromArgentina, and N. platnicki from Paraguay . N. toba and N. australis together are proposed as th esister group of all other species of Neocteniza . Some biological data of these trapdoor spiders aregiven .
