Resumen:
Microalgae cultures can suffer a loss in biomassproductivity due to a photoinhibitory process. This loss can bereduced by regulation of the light irradiance. Based on anavailable model reported for Isochrysis galbana, a modelpredictive control strategy is developed to optimize biomassproductivity. For this purpose, two decision variables areconsidered as microalgae growth depend on both nutrient uptakeand light irradiance. Performance of the feedback control isillustrated by means of numerical simulations.
