Introducción: Muchas adaptaciones estructurales y funcionales fueron
necesarias antes de que los primeros vertebrados pudieran desplazarse del agua
a la tierra. Los anfibios son considerados los primeros vertebrados vivientes
que se instalaron sobre tierra firme. Elegimos al sapo común Bufo arenarum,
como un modelo conveniente para estudiar algunos de los cambios fisiológicos y
comportamentales vinculados con esta transición
