Resumen:
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease caused by the destruction of pancreatic β cells. It often leads to further complications such as blindness, heart diseases, renal failure and neuropathy. It has become crucial to find a treatment that would not only normalize blood glucose, but alsorestore insulin secretion by stopping the destruction of β cells. Our approach for the reversion of this condition consists of the use of an immunomodulatory oligonucleotide with regenerative properties: the IMT504 (IMT).We have previously shown that this treatment promotes a marked recovery by improving thePIPELINESacrifice:- Spleenmetabolic condition (glycaemia levels, body weight and insulin secretion) on NOD diabetic mice.We aim here to study the immunological effects underlying this recovery.
