Resumen:
The activities of the South American Consortium on Marine Antarctic Biodiversity (LA CAML) led to the identification of the Antarctic research projects from South America contributing to CAML. The OLA CAML resulted in the development of the matrix containing all the scientific and logistic information from these projects. Themes and areas for cooperation have been identified, and the projects aggregated into three main theme areas were brought together as working groups: 1) pelagic realm (plankton/ oceanography 2) benthic real (from microbes to mega fauna) 3) top predators (mammals and birds). A series of discussion resulted in the establishment  of strategies  for integrated South American Antarctic efforts. As potential outcome is the synthesis  document showing the south American Antarctic state of the art on Marine biodiversity and  aggregate and organize data into SCARMarBIN and OBIS (South American Node).
