Resumen:
The increase in bacterial resistance is a pressing issue that requires immediate attention. Numerous studies have focused on the utilization of nanostructured materials in recent years. However, a significant portion of these studies still rely on antibiotics/drugs that contribute to the development of resistance in microorganisms. The objective of this research is to fabricate electrospun mats based on ethylcellulose (EC) and incorporate two functionalized porphyrins (TPPF20-Zn TPPF20-Pd) for use in photodynamic inactivation (PDI) of Escherichia coli. This approach aims to address the issue of bacterial resistance by employing a different mechanism of action, circumventing the reliance on antibiotics
