Resumen:
The effect of apigenin and its glycosidated form on the different arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungal growth parameters was tested. Depending of the concentration of apigenin exhibited a stimulatory or not effect on different fungal parameters, wheres in none of the treatments with apigenin glycoside any effect on AM fungi could be observed. Our data show that apigenin exhibits and AM fungal genus and even species activity we provide strong evidence that glycosidation results in a loss of its activity towards AM fungi.
