Resumen:
The article consists in the study of a textile factory, Algodonera Flandria, between the mid 1920s to the late 1960s. The investigation is focussed on two troublesome fields: the economic evolution of the enterprise and the management features. In the first case, the analysis of the inventories and memories kept in the factory files, lets us study the different patterns which show the financial and patrimonial situation, the quantity and quality of production and profits. As for the management the main topics considered in this book are the relationships between property and management, the kind of current management during the period above mentioned and the kind of relationship between employers and employees of the enterprise. We show the central elements of the strategy adopted by the firm as regards both its position in the market and the interaction between economical and non-economical aims, which plays a main role in this studied case. As for its structure analysis, we emphasize the study of the features, influences and limits of personalized administration. By looking at the investigation results, some problems are considered more general, such as the preparation and characteristics of industrial management in US - Argentina, and the types of managerial organization, as well as the interaction between managerial strategies and the macro-economical and political context.
